Our Secret
Throughout the years in the fashion industry, we’ve seen how knitwear has often been relegated to the background in many wardrobes and collections,
treated merely as an accessory. Leap was born from a revolutionary vision: to elevate knitwear to its deserved status, placing it at the heart of every collection and every outfit. At Leap, we don’t just redefine knitwear; we turn it into a work of art.
Our Mission? Transform knitwear into a work of art.
How do we do it?
Rigorous yarn selection
At Leap, we know the quality of a knitted piece starts with the materials.
At Leap, we know the quality of a knitted piece starts with the materials.
That’s
why we only partner with the most innovative, industry-leading spinners who
share our commitment to excellence and sustainability.
Each yarn we choose
goes through a strict quality process to ensure the highest softness, durability,
and environmental integrity.
This meticulous selection allows us to create garments that feel incredible and stand the test of time, providing an
exceptional wearing experience for our customers.
A Conscious Approach to What We Do
As a brand committed to improving the fashion industry, we constantly challenge ourselves while staying true to our core values.
We focus on:
a) Natural Materials: Our garments are crafted from natural fibers like cashmere, merino and yak wool, organic cotton, and linen. We believe these premium, natural materials are better for both, people and the planet.
- Cashmere: Our cashmere (GCS) comes from ethically monitored farms in Inner Mongolia, regularly checked to ensure the highest living standards for the animals. Both the manufacturing of the cashmere yarn we use and our cashmere garments take place in Mongolia, where our trusted supplier upholds the same ethical values as us. Our yarn supplier is a member of the Sustainable Fiber Alliance (SFA) and ICCAW.
- Wool: We source the finest wool meeting the highest sustainability standards. Our yarn supplier is a member of Woolmark and certified by the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS).
- Yak: From the highest plateaus of the Himalayas, from semi-nomadic herding communities, providing warmth in sub-zero temperatures, our yak yarn is sourced in collaboration with SHOKAY. Our yak yarn supplier allocates 1% of its yak yarn revenue to an independently managed Community Fund.
b) The World Around Us - Our Environment: Our yarns are dyed, spun, and designed with environmental consideration, ensuring no harmful chemicals are used in the production process.
c) Manufacturing: Fair and ethical production is always our top priority, which is why Sedex and BSCI verify the Corporate Social Responsibility of our garment supplier. Additionally, their ISO 9001 certified quality system ensures the production of premium quality products.
The latest STOLL machinery technology is used to sustainably produce our knit
products with the best quality and performance. Lastly, our sustainable mission wouldn’t be complete without paying attention to every detail. All the labeling and packaging materials we use are made from 100% recycled materials (GRS) and certified FSC.
d) Transparent Supply Chain: We maintain total visibility and control over our supply chain, keeping close
relationships with our suppliers, from the farms in Inner Mongolia to the yarn,
garment, and packaging suppliers. We ensure all our suppliers operate
according to the highest industry standards and hold international certifications for their business practices
